Do you have an opinion of which is best? Both will clearly keep condensation out but I'm curious to know if the silicone might actually be better as it has more give for expansion and contraction? Is that relevant at the distance and temp differential for these devices? Perhaps silicone will handle the thermal cycling better than epoxy?

Given the tendency of Silicone to remain stretchy after it has set, and the tendency for epoxy to remain hard after it has set I would suspect that Silicon makes a better sealant especially over wide negative temperature ranges. Now that's just my feelings.

Thanks. I was thinking the same but was curious if there was perhaps some outlier reason for epoxy that I hadn't considered. All of the makers must be offering it for a reason ... I'm just not sure what it is other than some environmental factor that silicone can't tolerate.
